How do I lock or unlock a card?

Cards can be locked and unlocked instantly via either the Centtrip app or your desktop account. Account Administrators are also able to lock/unlock any of the cards they manage, on behalf of a team member. Once locked, no debits or withdrawals can be made.

Sign in and click on 'Manage Cards' in the navigation bar.

Use the filters or search-box to locate the card you want to lock or unlock.

Click on a card to open the details panel, and use the Lock/Unlock toggle as required. Once locked, no further transactions or withdrawals can be made. Unlock a card again anytime to use immediately.

Open the Centtrip app and tap the menu icon to open 'SETTINGS'.
Select ‘Lock or Unlock Card’.
Use the slider to instantly lock/unlock the relevant card.

Hints and tips

Contact Centtrip or your account administrator if you need to order a replacement card. Once ordered, new cards should arrive within 7-10 working days.
If ordering a replacement, any remaining card funds will need to be transfered back to your main account.
Cardholders can also lock/unlock their cards from the app, or report their card as lost or stolen.

How do I give a user permission to order Centtrip cards?

Corporate Super Administrator's can specify whether or not users on the account can order cards, within their User Management Dashboard. You can change these permissions any time. Follow these steps to create a new user or enable an existing user to order cards -

What currencies can I manage with my Centtrip account?

You can hold and manage 15 currencies on your Centtrip account and cards.

Payments can also be made in a further 16 currencies, by converting funds from the Buy Currency tab of your account, and selecting the external bank account for onward payment. Please see below for more details on how currencies can be held and managed.

Sign into your account. If you already hold the payment currency on your Centtrip account, select 'Send Payments'. Otherwise, please visit Buy Currency to convert the required amount first.

Select your payment currency and enter the amount.

Choose whether you would like to pay using funds held on your Centtrip account, or one of your cards. Leave the 'To' field as 'Bank Account'.

In the next four fields, select the payment recipient, enter a custom reference, choose a payment reason and check or edit the recipient email address. A confirmation will be sent to yourself, as well as the recipient email. If your payment recipient has not yet been set up, follow these steps.

Check the details are all correct and click 'CONFIRM' to process your payment. This can take several days depending on the currency, value and time submitted.

In the app, select ‘Send Payment’ and then (if needed) ‘Add Recipient’.
Once created, select your recipient.
Choose a currency held on your account and enter an amount.
If the currency you want to send is different to the recipient’s, you will be able to check the live exchange rate before converting and completing your payment.

Hints and tips

Add new recipients: When you pay a particular recipient for the first time, they won’t appear in your ‘Select recipient...’ dropdown until you set them up.
Enjoy better cost efficiencies by using currencies held on your account or card to make same currency payments to your oversees suppliers.
Make payments in batch: Click CREATE BATCH at the top of the page to save time by making multiple payments in one or more currencies, in one go. Send immediately or schedule for a later date for complete, effortless control. View guide here.

How do I create card balance and transaction alerts?

Sign into your desktop account to create custom card balance and transaction alerts. These can all be tailored to your requirements and are ideal for avoiding delays and helping to keep your account and card(s) secure.

Card Balance Alert: ensure a cardholder never runs out of funds by receiving a low card balance alert.
Transaction Over Amount: set alerts to catch any unusual card spend and help keep your account secure.
Transaction Declined: receive instant notification of a declined transaction along with the reason for it.

After signing into your account, click or hover over the settings icon in the top right corner of the screen and click 'Alerts / Market Orders'.
Use the dropdown menu to choose an alert type: 'Card Balance Alert', 'Transaction Over Amount' or 'Transaction Declined'.
Search for the relevant card and click 'EDIT' to create your alert.
Depending on the alert you've selected, you will be promoted to enter a value, or simply to select how you would like to be notified: an email to administrators, an email to the cardholder or a text message to the cardholder. Tick your preferred options and click 'OK' to save and activate your alert.

Hints and tips

Alerts can be switched off and on any time by clicking 'DISABLE' / 'ENABLE' next to the relevant cardholder.
You can activate or deactivate all cardholder alerts instantly by clicking 'ENABLE ALL' / 'DISABLE ALL' at the top of the screen.
Any pre-existing 'Rate Alerts' and 'Market Orders' can also be viewed and edited from here.
New 'Rate Alerts' and 'Market Orders' can be set up from your account dashboard.

How do I load/unload my cards?

You can transfer funds from account to card, or back again, in seconds. You can also load multiple cards and currencies in batch. Remember, you still need to activate your card before use.

Select the transfer direction.
If you manage multiple cards, you’ll be able to select the card you want to load funds from/to.

What is a Corporate Super Administrator and what are their limits and permissions?

Corporate Super Administrators (CSAs) have access to the parent / corporate account, plus all associated Operating Accounts. They have the ability to create new users, manage permissions and limits, and instantly disable a user's access any time. This can all be managed within the 'User Management' dashboard.

When opening a new Corporate Centtrip account, the first user created will be a Corporate Super Administrator (CSA).

Follow these steps:

Select the currency you would like to convert from, and the currency you would like to purchase.
Enter an amount in either the Convert From or Convert To box.
Select how you would like to pay -
- Centtrip Account - use funds held on your Centtrip account;
- Centtrip Card - Use funds from one of your Centtrip cards, or;
- Bank Account - Make a transfer from your corporate bank account
Choose where to send purchased currency -
- Centtrip Account - load it to your Centtrip account;
- Centtrip Card - transfer it to one of your Centtrip cards, or;
- Bank Account - use it to make a payment to one of your recipients.
Click 'GET RATE' to view the live exchange rate and then 'CONFIRM' to complete.

Using the Centtrip app

Sign into the app and tap 'Convert Currency'
Choose where you would like to send your purchased currency; 'My Account', 'Recipient', or 'My Card'. Then press 'NEXT'.
Select the currencies you would like to conver from and to, and tap 'NEXT'.
Review the live rate, enter the amount, and press 'NEXT'.

If you are buying currency and want to pay from your bank account, you will need to transfer the balance within 24 hours and will receive your purchased currency as soon as this has been settled.

How do I load funds into my Centtrip Account?

To start enjoying all your account benefits, you need to ensure you have sufficient funds. You can check your current balances from your account homepage and transfer funds to your Centtrip account using the bank details provided on the Load Account page.

From the Load Account page, use the dropdown menu to select the currency you want to load into your Centtrip account
Note down the account details and payment reference starting with CENT.
Log into the corporate bank account you would like to send funds from and make a transfer using the details you noted. Please note: funds may only be transferred from an account in the same name as your Centtrip account. Click here to learn more.

Hints and tips

Ensure you add the payment reference provided on the Centrrip Load Account page starting with ‘CENT’ when transferring funds - this is essential to avoid any delays.
The bank account which you transfer funds from must be under the same name as your Centtrip account. If funds are received from a an unknown account, they will be returned. This can take up to x working days.

To load funds in a currency which is different to the one you hold in your bank account, it’s typically much more cost effective to first load funds into your Centtrip account in the same currency, and then visit the Buy Currency page to purchase your preferred currency.
