Are the fees for USD and EUR base-currency cards dynamic or fixed to the GBP rate?

Is Centtrip Mastercard a debit or credit card?

Accepted Answer

The Centtrip multi-currency Mastercard is neither a credit, charge nor debit card.

Centtrip cards are prepaid, reloadable and issued by an Electronic Money Institution. Each time you use your Centtrip card, the purchase value is deducted from the funds available on the card.

Simply buy any of the 15 deposit currencies using your Centtrip account or on our app and transfer it to your card. You can then use your Centtrip multi-currency Mastercard in more than 210 countries and territories, online and in store.

Can I change the base currency on my existing multi-currency card?

No, the base currency is determined when the card is created. However, you can request a new card by contacting us using the details at the bottom of this page.

As a corporate client, can I have cards in different base currencies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you'd like to order cards with a different base currency, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

Non-GBP base-currency cards are available for corporate clients only.

Will I earn interest on my Centtrip account or card balance?

Accepted Answer

You will not earn any interest on either your Centtrip account or card balances.

What does the card status "issued not active"  mean?

The 'issued not active' card status means the Centtrip card hasn't been activated yet. For help with this, see our instructions on how to activate your card.

Click on the ‘Share’ icon in the top right corner
Type the email address
Click ‘Send’

Can I categorise my transactions?

Yes, you can.

Labels are a simple yet extremely effective new tool on our app that enables you to search your transactions more easily. Simply use available or create new labels online and on the app to categorise your expenses by projects, departments or events and better organise your transactions.

This new feature replaces hashtags and allows you to create as many categories as you need. Add a new category as you make a purchase or search existing labels to mark the transaction to easily identify it when running reconciliation either in real time or later on.

To add or create new label:

Tap on the transaction you want to categorise
Tap on ‘Labels’
Either select from the list of existing labels or create a new one
Tap ‘Done’

Customise existing labels and re-use them for future transactions. Both account administrators and users can create, edit and use the same labels online and on the app.

You can also export labelled transactions from and import them into your accountancy package for reconciliation and reporting purposes.

All labels are included in any transaction reporting.

Why is my account still visible when I have signed out?

This is because your device is still linked to your account.

To unlink your device from your account:

Select the account
Log in using your credentials
Select Two-factor Authentication
Select Unlink Device
Sign out and the device will be unlinked from your account

Are EUR and USD denominated cards still multi-currency?

Accepted Answer

Yes – the new cards work in exactly the same way as existing ones. The only difference is the base currency.
