How can I pay my Centtrip subscription, card or payment fees?

You can send payment to our Sterling or Euros account from your Centtrip account, or you can make an instant payment using the CenttripNow Service. In all cases, please remember to include your invoice number as the Payment Reference.

New to CenttripNow?

CenttripNow allows you to instantaneously transfer fund between any other Centtrip accounts, without incurring any fees. All you need to do is ensure the relevant Centtrip accounts are part of your CenttripNow network.

Sign into your account and click 'Add Recipients'
Click the 'ADD CENTTRIPNOW' button
Search for our invitation code (CENTTRIPC/8jelr) and invite us - you'll only need to do this once
Once your invitation has been accepted, visit the 'Send Payments' tab of your account
Enter the relevant payment details and select 'CenttripNow' from the 'To' dropdown
You can now select Centtrip as the recipient and complete your payment via CenttripNow

How do I load funds into my Centtrip Account?

To start enjoying all your account benefits, you need to ensure you have sufficient funds. You can check your current balances from your account homepage and transfer funds to your Centtrip account using the bank details provided on the Load Account page.

From the Load Account page, use the dropdown menu to select the currency you want to load into your Centtrip account
Note down the account details and payment reference starting with CENT.
Log into the corporate bank account you would like to send funds from and make a transfer using the details you noted. Please note: funds may only be transferred from an account in the same name as your Centtrip account. Click here to learn more.

Hints and tips

Ensure you add the payment reference provided on the Centrrip Load Account page starting with ‘CENT’ when transferring funds - this is essential to avoid any delays.
The bank account which you transfer funds from must be under the same name as your Centtrip account. If funds are received from a an unknown account, they will be returned. This can take up to x working days.
Please note, the bank details used to load your account were updated on 17 December 2020. Learn more
To load funds in a currency which is different to the one you hold in your bank account, it’s typically much more cost effective to first load funds into your Centtrip account in the same currency, and then visit the Buy Currency page to purchase your preferred currency.

How do I make a one-time batch payment?

Upload a single spreadsheet and make a one-time payment to multiple recipients, in one or more currencies, effortlessly. The beneficiaries are not saved in your account, so your Recipients List will remain clear of any beneficiaries you only intend to make a single payment to.

How do I make payments to existing recipients in batch?

Make multiple payments in one click using our batch payments facility. Whether you are paying salaries, royalties, bills or invoices, batch functionality allows you to upload a spreadsheet to execute multiple payments in one or more currencies, in a few seconds.

Visit the ‘Payments’ section of your Centtrip account, click ‘CREATE BATCH’ and then select ‘UPLOAD’.
Select 'Create payments for existing recipients'.
Download our batch payments template by clicking ‘EXCEL TEMPLATE’ or ‘CSV TEMPLATE’.
Enter details of each payment into the template, listing one payment per row. Help on how to do this is available below.
Once complete, save the updated file and upload it by clicking 'PICK A FILE...' from your Centtrip account. (If you have been signed out of your account due to inactivity, simpy follow step 1 above to access the relevant page.)
Once uploaded, you will be notified of any errors so that you can amend and re-upload your batch payment spreadsheet.

How to complete your batch payment template

Nickname – this must match the nickname that was created for your beneficiary in your Centtrip 'Recipients' list.
Currency – the three-letter code of the currency you would like to send, such as GBP, USD, EUR.
Amount – the numerical amount of the currency you would like to send to the beneficiary.
Reason – add a reason for each payment, for example ‘Payment of Invoice’, ‘Friends or Family’, ‘Salary’.
Reference – enter a reference that will help the beneficiary understand the purpose of the payment, such an invoice number or company name.
Card – (optional) if you would like to make the payment using funds held on an associated Centtrip card, please enter the cardholder ID (a number starting with 20000) of the relevant card. Otherwise, leave this field blank.

Hints and tips

When paying a beneficiary for the first time, you will need to add them to your 'Recipient' list. Click here to learn more.
Ensure the nickname entered into the batch payment template file matches the beneficiary nickname which has been set up in the 'Recipients' section of your account.
For each payment, the currency code must match the currency that was specified for the beneficiary when they were added as a recipient.
The first five fields ('Nickname', 'Currency', 'Amount', 'Reason', 'Reference') of the batch payment template are required. The 'Card' field only needs to be completed if you wish to make the payment using funds held on an associated Centtrip card.

How do I order Centtrip cards?

Order new Centtrip cards directly within your account, individually or in batch. Tailor your delivery preferences, specify a custom delivery address and contact, and order cards in a few quick steps. Once placed, you can keep track your order progress in real time from the 'Batch Card Results' tab.

Note - only users with authority to order cards can access this feature. If you cannot see the 'Order Cards' feature, please speak to your Administrator.

How do I close a Centtrip card?

If you want to close a Centtrip card which is no longer required, you can do this within the 'Manage Cards' section of your desktop account.

Please note - you will only be able to access this feature if you are a corporate account holder. For personal accounts, please contact Centtrip Support.

How do I reassign a spare card to a named user?

The 'Reassign Cards' feature can be used if you have ordered spare cards ahead of a project or requirement (eg. SPARE CARD 1 / SPARE CARD 2 etc) and are now ready to assign them to nominated users.

Reassigning a card will update the email address, date of birth and mobile number associated with the card, enabling the new user to sign into the account and manage the card. Existing users will be able to view the card within their account, and new users will recieve an instant activation email.

Search for the email address of the existing user who you want to reassign the card to. Select this user and click 'Continue'.

Check the details are correct and click 'Reassign card' to finish. The card will be added to the user's existing account, so they can sign into the app to reveal their PIN and manage the card.

How do I ensure there are no funds left on my consumer account by 31st March 2023?

Accepted Answer

Please follow the steps below to ensure any unused funds on your consumer Centtrip account or card by 31st March 2023.

Spend your funds

You can simply transfer any remaining account funds to your Centtrip card (follow these steps) and use your card in-store or online as normal until you have zero balance on your account or card.

If you hold multiple currencies, you can convert them instantly via your desktop account or the app.

Transfer your funds

Alternatively, follow the steps below to transfer funds from your Centtrip account and card into your corporate bank account.

First, move card funds to your Centtrip account

Sign into your desktop account and select Load Card
Choose the currency you want to unload from your card.
Select Card To Account as the transfer direction.
Enter the amount left on your card and click 'TRANSFER IMMEDIATELY'.

You can also do this via the Centtrip app, by selecting Load Card and changing the transfer direction.

If you have multiple currencies, please repeat these steps to transfer them all to your account. Once you have zero balances on your card, you can proceed with the steps below.

Then, convert your Centtrip account funds

If you hold multiple currencies on your account, please visit Buy Currency to convert them into the relevant currency for the bank account you intend to move them to.

Finally, transfer Centtrip funds to your bank account

If you have not yet done so, set up your corporate bank account as a payment recipient, then follow the instructions below.

What is a foreign exchange spot transaction?

A foreign exchange SPOT transaction (or SPOT trade) is an agreement to buy or sell a particular currency pairing for immediate delivery (within 48 hours), at the current exchange rate. The SPOT Rate is the real-time exchange rate between 2 currencies that we can offer at the point of executing the transaction.

You can purchase currency at the spot rate directly within your Centtrip account.

How can I manage and order Centtrip cards?

Lock/Unlock - use the Lock/Unlock toggle as required. Once locked, no further transactions or withdrawals can be made. Unlock again anytime to use immediately.

Reassign Card - assign a generic/unnamed card (eg. 'Spare Card', 'Captain's card', 'Finance team card') to a new nominated user. This will update the email address, date of birth and mobile number associated to the card; these details are required for account and app login.

Order Cards - switch to the 'Order Cards' tab and follow the steps to submit your order. Please note - this feature will only be visible if you have authority to order cards.

Tips for completing your Card Order Form:

Date of birth format: DD/MM/YYYY
Name fields: max 22 chars incl spaces for both first and last name combined, no special characters
Phone number format: please enter the country code first followed by the number. For example 044 for UK, 001 for US.
Cardholder email and date of birth is required for card activation and password reset - please enter these accurately.

Personal Clients:

We can only issue one card per personal account. If you need a replacement card, please email Client Support.

You can also report your card lost or stolen in the Centtrip app

Tap the three lines in the top right of the home screen.
Select 'Lost or Stolen Card' from the settings menu.
Press 'REPORT YOUR CARD LOST OR STOLEN' at the bottom of the screen.

This will lock your card and notify us that a replacement is required. We'll be in contact with you to confirm the details.

*There is a fee of £10 to replace a lost or stolen card.
