What are Centtrip's Inactivity Fees?

Inactive Card Maintenance Fee – effective 16 July 2022, a monthly fee of £2.50 will be charged for any Centtrip cards which have been dormant or unused for 12 months.
Inactive Operating Account Maintenance Fee – effective 16 July 2022, a monthly fee of £20 will be charged for any Centtrip accounts which have been dormant or unused for 12 months.

Are the Inactivity Fees applicable to me?

The Inactivity Fees are applicable to all UK/Eur Corporate and Personal accounts and/or cardholders.

How will I be charged?

The inactivity fees will be debited from the associated account and/or card(s) each month. If the balance reaches zero, the account and/or card will be closed.

How do I stop my account or cards becoming dormant or inactive?

Your account and cards will only become dormant after 12 months with no change in balance. After this point, they will incur a monthly inactivity fee. Simply use your account or card to ensure it does not become dormant.

Where can I review my current Centtrip cards?

If you have multiple Centtrip cards associated with your account, we recommend regularly reviewing these to ensure any which are no longer required are closed.

Follow these steps to export a list of all your current cards.

How do I close an account or card which is no longer required?

Please email Centtrip Support with details of the account or cards you with to close.

When will the 12 months of inactivity start?

The 12 month inactivity period will include any inactivity prior to the effective date (16th July), rather than 12 months from the effective date.

So for example, if your Centtrip card or account has been inactive since 1 Sep 2021, the inactivity fee will be applicable from 1 Sep 2022.

How can I check my account fees?

Your fees are available in your account and can be viewed by following the steps below.

Sign into your Centtrip account via your desktop.
Hover your curser over the person icon, to the left of your name.
Select 'Fee Schedule' from the dropdown menu.
If you have multiple Operating Accounts, switch between them to view the fees in the same way for each one.

How do CSAs create and manage Admin users?

If you are a Corporate Super Administrator, you can instantly add new users to any of your accounts, set and manage user permissions and limits, or disable a user's access anytime, within User Management.

To get started, sign into your account, click or hover over the settings cog, then select 'User Management'. Use the dropdown menus to select your Corporate account and an Operating Account. Click 'APPLY' to view the user list for your selected account.

Follow these steps -

From the User Management dashboard, click 'CREATE USER'.

Step 2

Enter the new user's email address and select 'CHECK' to see whether they already exist (if so, you will be able to edit their permissions).

Enter the new user's details - name, date of birth and phone number.

Then scroll down to 'User Access Level'. Selecting 'Corporate Access' will add the user to the Parent Account, plus all associated Operating Accounts (existing and new). Alternatively, click 'Operating Account Level' and use the dropdown to select specific Operating Accounts.

Finally, scroll down to 'Permissions' and tailor the limits and permissions for this user. Click 'SAVE' to finish. The new user will receive an instant activation email inviting them to create a password and sign in.

To edit limits and permissions or disable access -

After selecting the Corporate account and Operating Account, locate the relevant user and click 'EDIT'.

Scroll down to 'User Access Level' to edit as needed - 'Corporate Access' gives the user access to the Parent Account, plus all associated Operating Accounts (existing and new). 'Operating Account Level' enables you to select/deselect specific Operating Accounts.

You can also scroll down to the 'Permissions' section and amend as required. Click 'SAVE' to finish.

To disable account access, locate 'Disable corporate site access' and switch it to 'off', then 'SAVE'.

Am I authorised to open a Centtrip account on behalf of a business?

Accepted Answer

To be authorised to open a Centtrip account, you must be a director, beneficial owner or authorised signatory of the business you are applying on behalf of.

If you do not fall into any of these categories, you will need to complete our Account Application Authorisation Form and have this signed by a director, beneficial owner or authorised signatory.

Please be sure to upload this form during the online application process.

How do I enable Corporate Labels in the app?

Streamline your reconciliation by enabling Corporate Labels in the app. This allows cardholders to attach your pre-set labels to expenses in just a tap. All labels are linked to accounting codes (which the cardholder won't see), making it easy to map expenditure to your own accounting practices, with less manual work and fewer errors.

To begin, sign into your Centtrip account and click Manage Expenses from the Navigation bar.
Click to open 'CORPORATE LABELS' and identify the Label Group(s) you want to add to the app.
Use the 'SHOW IN APP' toggle to switch this Group on (you can switch it off again at any time).
Cardholders will now be able to add your pre-set Corporate Labels to expenses via the app.

How can I download my Cardholder Labels to use as Corporate Labels?

Accepted Answer

Save time when creating Corporate Labels, by using your existing cardholder labels. Export in just a click, add the accounting codes and simply re-upload in batch to your chosen Corporate Label Group.

Sign into Expense Management and click the 'Cardholder Labels' button to export.
Edit or add to the list as required, and enter an Alternative Value for each label.

Once complete, select 'CORPORATE LABELS' in Expense Management.
Identify the Group you want to add your new labels to (or create a new Group) and click

Re-upload your XLS file and click 'Next' to import your labels as Corporate Labels.

How do I create Corporate Labels in batch?

Save time when creating Corporate Labels in Expense Management by completing our quick XLS template and uploading to your chosen Label Group in batch. You can also export your existing Cardholder Labels to re-upload these as Corporate Labels.

Using our XLS template:

Sign into Expense Management and open 'CORPORATE LABELS' from the left-hand menu.
Identify the Group you want to add your new labels to (or create a new Group) and click

What is an 'Alternative Value' for a Corporate Label in Expense Management?

Accepted Answer

Every Corporate Label created in Expense Management can have an 'Alternative Value'.

Alternative Values can be an accounting code, tracking category or reconciliation or disbursement status. This is useful for mapping to internal accounting practices. Only the Corporate Label is visible for cardholder. The Alternative Value is stored with the transaction.

In the example below:

A - highlights one of the Corporate Label Groups: Expense Type

B - shows the individual labels within that particular Label Group

C - These are the alternative values (or accounting codes) for each label

How can I pay my Centtrip subscription, card or payment fees?

Accepted Answer

You can send payment to our Sterling or Euros account from your Centtrip account, or you can make an instant payment using the CenttripNow Service. In all cases, please remember to include your invoice number as the Payment Reference.

New to CenttripNow?

CenttripNow allows you to instantaneously transfer fund between any other Centtrip accounts, without incurring any fees. All you need to do is ensure the relevant Centtrip accounts are part of your CenttripNow network.

Sign into your account and click 'Add Recipients'
Click the 'ADD CENTTRIPNOW' button
Search for our invitation code (CENTTRIPC/8jelr) and invite us - you'll only need to do this once
Once your invitation has been accepted, visit the 'Send Payments' tab of your account
Enter the relevant payment details and select 'CenttripNow' from the 'To' dropdown
You can now select Centtrip as the recipient and complete your payment via CenttripNow

How do I make a one-time batch payment?

Upload a single spreadsheet and make a one-time payment to multiple recipients, in one or more currencies, effortlessly. The beneficiaries are not saved in your account, so your Recipients List will remain clear of any beneficiaries you only intend to make a single payment to.
