What does it mean if a card ‘spends from a shared balance’?

All cards linked to your Centtrip account will fall into one of two categories:

• Shared Balance Cards – These draw funds directly from the operating account, spending from the shared balance.
• Pre-load Cards – These do not spend from the shared balance. Instead, funds must be transferred onto the card from the account. Administrators can do this instantly using Quick Transfer

In both cases, card spend is subject to the limits set on the card and the account.
